For Parfumelo, we worked on off-page SEO by purchasing backlinks and placements on ZUGO and EA.md. Following this stage, we tracked the store in Google Search Console. The chart shows growth in organic visibility and clicks.

The report covers 17 September–14 October 2026. During the 28 days in the report, Parfumelo recorded 205 organic clicks and 1.74K Google impressions. Average CTR was 11.8%, with an average position of 8.3. The chart shows visibility and clicks increasing in the second half of the period, following the link-building stage.

An existing perfume store in Moldova

Parfumelo presents itself as an Arabian perfume retailer in Moldova. Its visible offering includes brands such as Lattafa and Maison Alhambra. A prospective customer might discover the store through a recommendation, an article, a brand search or a social post. These starting points involve different levels of familiarity with the products and with the retailer.

Someone discovering this perfume category may first need a useful introduction before comparing individual products. An article can create that context, while a link gives an interested reader a route to the catalogue. This is a practical reason to consider a relevant external placement: it can connect initial curiosity with the next stage of research.

The website remains where visitors examine the offer and decide whether to continue. An external article cannot replace product information, commercial terms or the buying experience. It offers an additional entrance to that journey. Our contribution is therefore described as off-page promotion for an existing store.

The services delivered for Parfumelo

We purchased backlinks and paid placements on ZUGO and EA.md, established publications in Moldova. This service concerns the brand’s presence outside its own domain, with links that can guide readers towards the store. The purchasing work is the completed part of the engagement represented in our portfolio.

A case study should make the team’s contribution understandable. We do not include website development, Parfumelo’s visual identity, catalogue administration or ecommerce platform implementation in our delivered scope. Nor do we add analytics configuration, technical audits or other deliverables that are not documented as part of this project.

An owner with an existing store can commission this kind of promotion separately from website development. The useful starting point is an agreement about what is being purchased, where it will appear and what completion means. Clear scope makes the relationship between service delivery and later performance much easier to assess.

The ZUGO article introduces Arabian perfumes and includes references and links to Parfumelo. Readers can consult the published article here. In this case study, it provides public evidence of a publisher placement directing readers to the client’s website.

The project also includes the supplied distribution links on ZUGO’s channels: a Facebook post and a Telegram post. These provide further routes to discover the material. Someone might encounter a social post, open the article and then continue to the store, while another reader could reach the article from a search or a direct recommendation.

These addresses represent different kinds of presence. The publisher article and its social distribution should not be counted as three independent editorial publications. They also do not automatically have the same search value. Distribution offers additional opportunities for exposure; its actual contribution needs to be examined using the information available for each channel.

The EA.md article and Facebook distribution

Alongside ZUGO, we purchased backlinks and placements on EA.md. The material produced for Parfumelo is “Cum alegi un parfum arabesc care ți se potrivește: ghid pe familii olfactive și bugete”. This link completes the documentation for that part of the finished engagement and lets readers consult the article directly.

The publication is accompanied by a post on EA.md’s Facebook page. We distinguish the article from its social distribution: the former provides editorial context, while the latter offers another route for readers to discover it. Together with the ZUGO materials, the list contains two articles and three social posts. These links document delivery; they do not by themselves measure traffic or sales.

For any campaign involving multiple publishers, a simple placement register can help: publisher, article URL, target page, date and commercial conditions. It provides a useful reference for later checks and discussions with editors. This is a recommended management practice, rather than an additional deliverable we claim to have completed for Parfumelo.

What makes a publisher relevant to a business?

When a company requests backlinks from authority websites, it usually wants recognised publications with real readers and an appropriate context. A decision should consider more than a single third-party score. Audience, language, subject matter and the relationship between the article and the retailer’s offering all matter.

For a perfume retailer in Moldova, content addressing questions about the product category can give readers a clearer reason to continue than an isolated mention on an unrelated page. Relevance concerns the usefulness of the surrounding material and the purpose of the link within it. A visitor should understand why the destination might help.

We do not assign ZUGO or EA.md an authority score in this article. Their recognition as publications is also not evidence of a guaranteed improvement for Parfumelo. A placement can be assessed through its editorial fit, potential visibility, commercial terms, accessibility and the outcomes that can actually be measured after it appears.

How an external placement can help an online store

One potential benefit is discovery. A person who did not know the retailer encounters it in a context connected to an interest. That person may explore the catalogue, remember the name or return later. These are opportunities a placement can create; they are not actions we can assume every reader takes.

Another is referral traffic: visitors who follow the link and reach the website. Where measurement is available, these visits can be examined separately from paid advertising and organic search. A reader arriving from explanatory content may have different questions from someone clicking an advertisement for a specific product.

A third benefit is a more coherent public presentation of the brand. The store’s name, product category and website can appear together in a useful explanation. That connection supports communication when the destination continues the same message. The next page needs to help visitors locate what interested them in the first place.

We use the term paid placement openly because purchasing backlinks was part of this engagement. Editorial advertising, brand exposure and referral visits should be evaluated against the company’s objectives. Paying for publication is not the same as buying a position in Google.

Google recommends sponsored for paid links and also accepts nofollow. This is implementation guidance for publishers, not a claim that every link in this project already carries those attributes. Technical conditions should be discussed alongside the commercial terms.

A sound approach considers the store as a whole: useful information, accessible pages, clear commercial details and promotion suited to its audience. External placements complement those elements. We do not suggest that a link count automatically fixes a website or guarantees orders. This case describes the work delivered and treats performance evaluation as a separate step.

What to measure after publication

Useful questions start with how many visits came from the relevant sources, which pages people opened and whether they continued towards products or other meaningful actions. With access to appropriate analytics, referral visits can be compared by source and period. Interpretation must account for the measurement setup and user consent.

Search comparisons can examine impressions and clicks for branded and product-related queries separately. A change after publication does not by itself prove that a placement caused it. Promotions, seasonal demand, catalogue changes and other campaigns can affect the same period. A credible interpretation requires context and a suitable observation window.

It is also worth checking whether each placement remains accessible, whether its link reaches the correct page and whether that destination still presents a relevant offer. These checks help preserve the reader’s journey. Organic performance is now documented in the Search Console screenshot at the start of this article: 205 clicks and 1.74K impressions from 17 September to 14 October 2026.

Lessons for another business with an existing website

The Parfumelo project demonstrates that a digital service can have a defined scope and support a website built by another team. Our completed contribution was purchasing backlinks and local publisher placements. The linked materials cover both ZUGO and EA.md articles and the social distribution included in the delivered scope.

For a similar engagement, start with the intended audience and destination. Then discuss publishers, the content topic, placement terms and how performance will be evaluated. A budget becomes easier to judge when linked to those decisions rather than simply described as a price for a quantity of links.

ADS Moldova is a digital services platform. We can work on a specific part of a business’s online presence according to its needs. Visit the Parfumelo case study for the project summary or explore our SEO services to discuss your website. We start with the existing website, deliver the placements and follow its visibility in Search Console, as shown in the Parfumelo chart.
